Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small values stored by a browser and sent with relevant requests. Similar technologies include localStorage, which can retain values in the browser without working exactly like a cookie. The purpose of a value matters: a chosen appearance setting and an advertising identifier are not interchangeable simply because both are stored on a device.
The site uses first-party preference storage to remember your cookie decision. Language and theme choices can also be retained so that a selected interface does not change unexpectedly. Optional analytics, advertising or external embedded features may use their own technologies when connected. A provider mentioned as a possibility is not necessarily active.
Categories and examples
| Category | Examples | Effect of Necessary Only |
|---|---|---|
| Site operation and chosen preferences | Cookie decision, selected language and color theme | Required operation and explicit settings remain available |
| Analytics | Page or interaction measurement if Google Analytics or Yandex Metrica is connected | Subsequent optional measurement is stopped |
| Advertising | Advertising identifiers, measurement or refresh when an advertising service is connected | Subsequent optional advertising activity is stopped |
| External embedded features | Optional third-party content or interaction when enabled | Optional initialization and tracking are blocked |
This table describes categories, not a copied inventory of another website’s cookies. Particular provider names, domains and lifetimes depend on connected services. Advertising and measurement remain optional even when they are useful for financing or improving the website.
Before and after a choice
Before you decide, configured optional integrations are allowed to operate. Choosing Allow continues to permit optional features. Choosing Necessary Only prevents further optional activity controlled by the website, including connected optional measurement and advertising. Neither scrolling nor simply reading the page records a new choice.
A refusal cannot automatically recall requests already sent or delete earlier data held by a provider. Contact us about earlier data if needed. A later Allow does not authorize replaying a stored history of activity from the period when you refused. The website’s main functions remain available: reading, search, code copying, Lua downloading, language selection and color theme.
How long your decision lasts
Your decision is stored in a first-party preference cookie for 180 days from the action that records it. Merely viewing another page does not renew that period. The preference applies across the language versions of this website. A change to the policy wording does not itself cancel a saved refusal.
This period describes the site’s choice, not the lifetime of all analytics or advertising data. If you clear browser storage, use another browser or let the preference expire, the site may no longer have that decision and can show the banner again. In the absence of a saved choice, the pre-choice model applies. Browser tools can also remove or restrict cookies, though their controls differ by product.
Review or change your settings
Use the cookie settings controls below or the footer link to choose Allow or Necessary Only again. The settings remain accessible without relying only on a banner’s first appearance. Changing optional preferences does not require an account or a subscription, and refusing does not remove a language or theme you explicitly selected.
The Privacy Policy explains technical records, correspondence, recipients and requests about data. Possible providers publish further details in Google’s Privacy Policy and Yandex’s Privacy Policy.
